Istanbul

Istanbul is an interesting city. Was Constantinople a cooler name? Definitely, but people hate extra syllables and love a rebranding. This location has so much history, but you might not get that vibe by walking it's streets. These days it's mostly kebab stands, clothing stores, brunch cafes, and roughly thirty-seven thousand shops selling the same nuts and baklava by the kilo. Prices are weird because of some wacky inflation, street corn is roasting on every corner, and the Bosphorus is teeming with jellyfish. It's a confusing place. Bitchin' food, though.
