Constantinople was a pretty cool name, and rebranding rarely works. Istanbul is an interesting city. This location has so much history, but surprisingly little evidence is left to be seen. Today it's mostly kebab stands, clothing stores, brunch cafes, and approximately thirty-seven thousand shops selling the same nuts and baklava by the kilo. Prices are all over the place because of some wacky inflation, street corn is roasting on every corner, and the Bosphorus is absolutely teeming with jellyfish. It's a confusing place. Bitchin' food, though.
